Project Hopewell, Inc.  is a community-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 2002. Through its nutritionm social, educational, recreational, and cultural programs, P.H.I. promotes quality family life and a greater sense of community among residents in Southwest Birmingham and neighboring cities through a variety of programs and community outreach efforts.  

WE OFFER: 

 

1) Children's Feeding Program A program that currently distributes more than 7,250 free weekly to sites that serve at risk youth within the Greater Birmingham Metropolitan communities. 

 

2) Seniors Day Program An outreach support program for senior adults, age 60+ designed to help maintian and improve participant's physical and mental well-being. Provide daily activities, recreation and a hot meal, free of charge to participants. 

 

3) Enrichment Program A series of programs designed to develop and enhance children in self-confidence, leadership skills, and instill positive socialization in preparation to become productive members of society. 

 

4) Success Center A series of programs designed to prepare individuals for gainful employment and a sustainable way of life. 

**Adult Education Support/GED, Resume Assistance, Computer Training/Lab, Job Readiness Preparation, College Preparation**

 

5) Health & Wellness-Sports/Recreation A series of programs designed to promote healthy lifestyles for families and individuals. 

**Catering/Cooking Class & Demonstrations, Community Garden, Karate/Basketball/Volleyball/Softball/Baseball. Health Fairs, Blood Pressure/Glucose Screenings, Cultural Arts, Indoor Walking Track and Exercise Room. 

 

6) Charles Winston Sr. Food Bank/Community Services A donation funded food program for those in need. Provides grocerie and emergencies assistance. Designated Red Cross Disaster Facility
